  • Late Bell: 7:30 am
  • Dismissal Bell: 2:15 pm 

Snow Day Schedule

Days with severe weather conditions the following schedule is in effect:

  • Arrival - 9:30 am
  • Dismissal - 2:15 pm

Safety Reminders & Tardy Policy

  • Please remember that students should not be on campus grounds more than 10 minutes before the bell. Grounds supervision begins at 7:15 am each day. Plan for your student(s) to arrive at school no earlier than 7:15 am. Our staff contracts do not begin prior to 7:15am. 
  • We understand that life happens. If you are tardy, please stop by the office. If your child comes to school after classes have begun, they must report to the office before going to class. Once checked in, students in grades 1-5 will walk to class independently. Students in Pre-K and Kindergarten will be escorted a staff member.  However, you may still receive a phone call from the ParentLink automated attendance system as a standard safety pre-caution.
  • Any student who arrives after the bell must sign into our google form prior to going to class. 
  • The first bell rings at 7:25am, the tardy bell rings at 7:30am
  • The staff and administration at Marie Hughes takes your student's education seriously. Having your student ready and at school on time helps us to reinforce the concept of quality education to your child. 
  • Excessive tardies may result in a parent and/or student meeting(s) to discuss support and strategies due to loss of instructional minutes.
